Trouble with sleeves no more
One of the things most people who have had to dress a baby would have experienced is how difficult it can be to put something on them with sleeves, even the loosest sleeves or the softest materials possible can upset little ones and cause unnecessary distress.
That's why I love making them sleeveless vests or cardis or sweaters -whatever you call them is fine, the key is that they are sleeveless.
This is a sleeveless cardigan I crocheted for my youngest son a couple of weeks ago (and I am delighted I managed to take a photo before it gets all lovely, gooey, and sticky with banana and porridge). He wears it in the mornings as soon as he gets up as the house can feel a bit cold compared to the snuggly, comfy bed and duvet. It would definitely look prettier with buttons or a pom-pom but I decided against them in the end as they can be a choking hazard especially for persistent little biters trying their gums or new teeth on anything in sight.
If you would like a similar sleeveless top for a little one, get in touch and we can design it together, buttons, colours, pom poms, size etc. Again, I didn't use a pattern but I got some ideas from this helpful video https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=share&v=x_WAxKtifDc&app=desktop
*everything I make is unique so cannot be replicated exactly :-)
