Twirly rainbow scarf and pattern
A little scarf I made that is impatiently waiting for someone to adopt it. You can only take it home if you love curls, twirls and the rainbow. It's not too heavy or too thick so it can be ideal for spring time.
So, get in touch to take this scarf home, or in case you like the design but would prefer different colours, we can always design something together for a very reasonable price. There are a few patterns out there, most call it 'potato chip scarf', but I prefer calling twirly or curly. Again, I had to interfere with the pattern as it made more sense for me in a different way. So here goes my version:
The wool is double knitting and I used 5mm needles.
Cast on 18 stitches
Purl or Knit all of them across
If you choose purl then you will have to do the entire scarf in purl, and the same applies if you do all knit. It depends on what you prefer as the result will be the same. I prefer purl because I find I do much faster when I do purl all rather than knit all.
Row 2: Purl 4, turn and purl 4 back
Row 3: Purl 6, turn and purl 6 back
Row 4: Purl 8, turn and purl 8 back
Row 5: purl all across
You repeat rows 2-5 until the scarf reaches the length you desire, and ta-da! your scarf is ready!
ps: be patient you need to repeat rows 2-5 quite a few times before the pattern starts to show but it is definitely one of the cutest scarves out there.
